Please note: Statewide Testing will not be administering the DPS Approved Road until further notice. We thank you for your cooperation and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

The Third Party Skills Testing (TPST) program was implemented September 1, 2014. Statewide Testing, Inc. is a designated Third Party Skills Testing Authorized Organization, approved to administer the driving skills examination to those who meet the criteria.

At the time of the test:

If you are between the ages of 16-17, you must present:

  • A valid Texas Learners Driver License
  • Possess a valid DE-964 showing completion of a Driver Education Course
  • A certificate from the DPS Impact Texas Teen Drivers (ITTD) video and receive a certificate dated within 90 days of the skills examination (you can find more information on the ITTD program here)

If you are between the ages of 18-24, you must present:

  • A valid Texas Learners Driver License
  • A valid DE-964 or ADE-1317 showing completion of a Driver Education Course
  • View the ITYD video and receive a certificate dated within 90 days of the skills examination.
  • All individuals tested through the TPST program must complete the ITYD requirements, prior to taking their driving skills examination.

The DPS Road Test fee is $75. Remember, your vehicle must have a current inspection/registration sticker, front and rear license plates, and proof of vehicle liability insurance.

Cancellation Policy: There will be no refund for no-shows or cancellations within 72 hours of appointment. If you would like to reschedule your appointment or cancel your appointment and receive a refund, please notify us via email at least 72 hours before your scheduled appointment.
